In a nutshell....

....here's what we've been up to the last few weeks.

A week in Georgia having a wonderful time with family (and friends) and a new experience of flying for Alidia. The whole flying thing resulted in a lot of praying by Alidia, particularly during the "blasting off". She was also a bit nervous about the lake in the backyard at Grandpa's house. Being in the boat was all fine and good, but when her siblings decided to have a little swim out in the middle she was certain the alligators were going to get them.

Another term of Monday school (which rocks), learning lots of cool stuff, a book club for mom, plus a new homeschool curriculum that is pretty sweet. Photo is of "character day" at school.

(Yes, that is a cigarette in Cole's mouth. No, it's not real. If confronted about it he can readily explain why smoking is bad for you. Which he's had much practice in doing since he "became" Riff.)

The Tulip Festival, complete with some serious mud puddles. I took over 1,000 pictures that afternoon, mostly of laughing, fake smiling, and crying children. If you want some legitimately nice pictures of the tulips, check out Sarah's.

Tickets to the ballet downtown (just Aviana and mom) and to Oklahoma! (all of us). I think the Oklahoma love may make a comeback. When we left Cole repeatedly gushed that it was the best play he ever saw. Pretty impressive to be said for a 3 hour high school production.

A newly planted garden that is beautiful (thanks Jeremy). Complete with tomatoes, peppers, a variety of lettuce, broccoli, onions, garlic, carrots(which is all that survived from the earlier seed plantings), newly transplanted rhubarb that will hopefully live to make someone else very happy next spring, and the strawberries are starting to flower!! Hopefully we'll still get some corn planted as well, but I think that's good for now.

And coming soon.......

..............Cole's theatrical debut as "the wolf" in The 3 Little Pigs. (Monday night 7pm)
..............a road race for Cole, mom's first 1/2 marathon and dad's first full marathon.
.............not a free weekend until mid-July. Seriously, who's in charge of scheduling around here??

Oh yeah, and also some little girls who decided one day to pretend they were chickens.

Chickens have feathers....not clothes, obviously...........

The header is a little bit ridiculously large, but I can't quite figure out how to shrink it. My apologies.
