Alidia has found a very convenient little perch. The ledge of the kitchen window. She can sit and observe her siblings working on schoolwork or a craft at the table, be in the same room as mom (which is the eternal goal), usually persuade me into giving her a snack with her cute signs, and of course keep tabs on whether or not the neighbor and his dogs are outside.
Her siblings get a bit annoyed with her need to observe their projects more by touch than by sight. I get a bit annoyed with her constant standing on the kitchen table. But she is overjoyed with the location and gleefully announces the comings and goings of the neighbor dogs with a loud, "Doggies, doggies, SEE!!" Which is repeated until everyone comes to SEE.
